Nice job pulling that factoid out of your Wayback Machine!reckon what @stratman was referring to was the possibility that these new chips were similar to the PGl-72’s and that an older resetter might reset the Pro 300 chips, this happened with the Pro 9500, when the CLl-8 chip resetter could reset 8 of the 10 CLl-9 chips on that machine.
I was thinking of the cartridges CLI-8 and CLI-42 being the same and fitting in either printer model that accepted one those cartridges.
But your point about resetters is more to the point of the OP's question on chip compatibility.
