$69 dollars to order from Oregon, or $50 to order from Germany . . . I'd still opt for Germany!
But you'll pay S&H above the $50, right?

Like I expected, Canon ink is now much cheaper. Just got home a remanufactured 5BK for only $11. It is like exactly the brand new ones with pull label and orange knob and the sponge is new, just no brand name. The store owner claimed it is pigmented. The color ones are $10. As I no longer print that much, this is good enough for my needs.

If the $50 include S&H, then I'll still get the resetter, I just love such stuff.

Nope, that was with shipping included! :)

Actually I paid $52.90 total with shipping for mine. Another forum member just ordered one and pm'd me and I think he paid slightly less than $51 - the price varies with the exchange rate.

Hop back a couple pages in the messages and you'll see a link to where I bought mine, how long it took, etc..

So far I think Germany is the cheapest total price, even beating the Chinese company.

Hi everyone, I am the US distributor for the inkjet resetter by RKS out of Germany, here is the skinny on it.

The German company that sells them to Americans for a low price is a big European ink supplier, and they sell them below wholesale as a loss leader item for future ink sales, that is why my prices are higher.

But if you need to replace one, you have to send it all the way back to Germany. I am here in Oregon and you can call me, I ship fast, and we replace upon receipt within 24 business hours. We also have the professional model now.

I think this forum is a great place to learn and I am completely jazzed that SMILE took one apart and showed me how to replace a battery. You folks are the best.

So if anyone on this forum wants to purchase one from us, let me know, I will sell anyone from inkjet stuff forum an RKS Canon Ink Chip Resetter for $53.50 including First Class Mail shipping. That price is rock bottom for me, and it includes a 2 year replacement.

Thanks again to smile for showing me the insides of one of our resetters, you rock!

Michele

I'm happy you like my mod / review.

To modify home model as you call it to work with constant power supply would cost about 5$ why so big difference between those too models? I mean ~30$.

Wow! $53.50 delivered from a US company and a warranty!

I don't think there's much for an excuse now! I'd order one if I didn't already have one!

I did order one from MAPSY through ebay a month ago. It arrived fine and works great. I believe the price is slightly higher than what she's offering here.

Wow, this is great!!! Just emailed you to order one.

Now I'm buying another Canon Pixma for my son. The Pixma is the only printer that I can accept even with this resetting hassle. It's now a perfect world!

Well, I finally "bit the bullet" and ordered a Redsetter from Michele. The 2 year guarantee from an America company was the deciding factor. I'm not unhappy checking the ink levels manually in my Canon MP530, but I just got another MP530 (It's a sweet machine!) for my wife. She'll just get confused by the ink out warnings and procedures to go through to disable the ink monitoring. The $53 is well spent to keep her frustration low. Here's hoping that it works as advertised.

Received my red toy today, very good built. Hard to believe such a little thing cost as much as a printer, Why not Canon sell such a genuine resetter?
