Brother MFC-J6955DW

Hello,

I'm looking for the flat panel of this printer. Unfortunately I don't have the PN, not found in the part list. I bought the touchscreen part, but unable to find the flat panel. It should be a 3,5" color touchscreen LCD, but when disassembling there is no reference at all, not even the flat panel brand.

The customer is waiting since August last year.

Any idea where to find the spare part will be great.
Or do you think it could be replaced by the MFC-J6940DW flat panel which is also a 3,5" but LCD on the colour touchscreen Will it fit ? Or any other reference with same connection ...

Generally speaking I would think a printer in the same series/time frame could share the same display unit, as it would be way cheaper for Brother to order from a LCD manufacturer in bulk rather than designing something different for each machine they produce.
I also doubt the (custom ordered) LCD is anything special other than a certain ribbon cable dimension and pinout that they requested from the manufacturer. If the LCD controller is on the mainboard and you can connect the right pins a similar LCD could technically work, but without any data sheet it is guess work because it is not standardized at all.

I met Brother french technical director (during IT partners in Paris La Défense) three weeks ago, but I wasn't able to provide any help.
