If you care for your printer you should be using the best quality inks that you can get and not the cheapest.
Ask yourself this question..?

If ABCINKS can sell a set of cartridges complete with ink and postage free
for the same price as just one OEM cartridge then what exactly are you buying? ! !

Can you really answer that question without laughing because that ABCINK site that you mentioned
only sell the cheapest of inks and if that is what youre looking for then you probably couldnt have found ink any cheaper if you tried.

Here is an old post of irvweiner with a variety of places to purchase good ink from
that might make you think twice about ABCINKS..

Thank you. That is Exactly what I wanted to know.
I'll buy ink and or replacement cartridges already filled from the suppliers listed. I'll avoid ABCINK.
Thanks again.

After looking at that list of sites selling ink that everybody likes I would like to know if anybody is using ink form the printerfillingstation. "http://www.printerfillingstation.com/" Ive been using them for over 10 years now and find the ink is excellent and the price is right. Ive used their ink for HP, Lexmark, Canon, and Epson printers. They have also provided great fast service and also assistance if I have a question. They have even provided me with a coupon for extra discounts when I complained about shipping costs. So if somebody else is using them lets here it and maybe we can get them added to the list.

I went onto the printerfillingstation site. My objective evaluation is as follows. It is an attractive site, and they have many items necessary for refilling. Interesting that the some code numbers for the eight colors of ink (cli-8) were the same as Precision Colors' codes. These codes are also Image Specialist codes, and Precision Colors does identify their inks as Image Specialist inks. So --- are printerfillingstation inks also Image Specialist?? they only identify their inks as made in the USA, as are Image Specialist inks as well. I suspect that printerfillingstation inks are, therefore, Image Specialist inks. A negative for me is that they don't actually identify the source of ink as IS.

I checked the sale price of 2 and 4 oz quantities of ink for Canon cli-8 cartridges. Notable is the fact that for 2 or 4 oz. quantities printerfillingstation is about twice the cost of Precision Colors. Even with their advertised discount they are still considerably more expensive for the quantities I checked. I didn't compare other quantities, and I'm not sure why printerfillingstation also had one or more codes different from IS and from Precision colors, indicating that they are using a different ink set for the cli-8 printers.

The positive is that pearlhouse has found their inks to be worthy of recommendation after 10 years of use. On that recommendation it is worth a look on their site as a comparison to the site of the vendor you are currently using. After comparing them to Precision Colors I am staying with that vendor. Octoink, in the UK, also identifies their ink as Image Specialist and sells a full range of refill items.

Well Im finally getting around to making a comment on fotofreeks findings. He is right the precision color inks are still cheaper than anything Ive been buying from printerfillingstation.com. I even had a promo code that gave me another 20% off their prices but my total bill still ended up higher than precision color. So I guess I will make my next purchase from precision color. I must say that before I found the InkjetPrinterForum I started my refilling with the help of PrinterfilllingStation. They were totaly responsive to any questions that I had about refilling. But now that I am an "expert" refiller price has become the deciding factor. Even though I couldnt find it on the P F S site I believe they are using the same ink from Image Specialists. The P F S inks performed to me just as good as OEM inks so I will still keep them as a backup supplier. So all you refillers out there keep up the good work. You make it all worth while.:)
