Any interest in a simple Photo thread?

We have two new 7D Mark 11's , I do printing just photos so I am thinking that something simple, unlike the Challenge in DPR, no high stakes, thus no need to cheat or get off side and agro.?

I am an amateur photographer in the first place, mostly wildlife, nature and family.

There are plenty of other fora, but as long as we keep the link to printing why not ?

Nifty instigated a photo thread with a prize some time ago, so I imagine he would welcome one.

Just to be more picturesque.. not that I feel it has any merit, but we did have an unusual evening sky a few days ago.

Yes I seen it too Ian, I missed the friggin thing because I didn’t have a camera with me and I was 20 km from home.
It would have given you’re photo a run for its money.

NO COMP
NO PRIZE
JUST LIKE or NOTHING

BECAUSE I am with @palombain, we are a print forum. What do we strive to achieve, good printing of not just photos, graphics of all kinds too.

So post a print, and document the journey/challenges to get it toa print you are satisfied with....for now, cos we are not a stand still bunch at all....
Thats my take on it
To me the journey makes the print for me...eg. stuff an exposure, if you get to fix it somehow - tell the story in simple language, if a fellow member asks for helpto get to where you got, up to YOU hw much you reveal.

There are plenty of share/boast/one up sites, that I dont use.

Got the idea from the fellas sharing their ink fade tests.

Fellas with new 7D 2's wll do some things better/ different....I'd enjoy hearing the journey!

BIG sky, bloody BIG.

11/10 capture too, what camera lens eg. Full frame + wide angle lense or what, its almost panoramic.

Nikon D-300, 16mm (16-85 f 3.5 - f4.5). This IS "Big Sky" country!
