Ahhh...you gotta add some clouds...and COLOR.

Nikon D300 with 200-500 f5.6 Tamron.

Guess we are on different latitudes.

Wow!
Even at screen resolution it is apparent that even with all that glass and extension hanging off the front of the 7D Mk 2 she is a BEAUTY.
There are times i miss 1.6 format, and this sort of thing is just one of them.

Its also a VERY sweet lens and should deliver you some awesome pics @ effective 640mm

Woah there, cowboy. No need to poach Montana's state nickname. "Big Wyoming" is plenty.

You told me off last time, so please note I deliberately said "wide skies".:)

That was taken through bedroom window double glazing and none too clean at that, looking at it this morning in sunlight! But it is a good lens, I have been lucky with that one and by the way turbguy, there wasn't a cloud in the sky, so I am calling that a scientific study not an advertising "Come to Wyoming" romantic image!!:)
But I must admit we enjoyed our visit in, must have been, 1996, on our way from Denver to South Dakota. We stopped off to see the Dinosaur sink hole on route.

What Canon lens do people favour for day to day work? That DPReview publicity video suggested the EF70-200 F2.8L IS MkII USM but it is a heavy beast, probably heavier than the 100 - 400 and I am getting old and weak:hu, makes your arms ache without a mono or tripod. Incidentally 3dogs you mentioned mirror lockup, but remember Live View can be used beneficially for this sort of thing and achieves the same end.
