This long term test basically confirms previous comments and assumptions - This all goes back to the discussion what the user can expect from a particular ink, what he actually needs and whether the reported performance differences are reflected in pricing differences. Not all prints somebody does need to last for years or whatever
For the best long term results print with OEM ink and paper, everything else will come up short each time, there is no such thing as cheap long term quality prints..

The best alternative is to use 3rd part inks and generic photo paper, and expect to reprint the same image again in the future, that way you can enjoy your inkjet printer without breaking the bank..

Trying to use any 3rd party inks and OEM paper, it is also a huge waste, because the paper costs more than the inks does and you’ll never get the longevity that your longing for, and the ink might not be good for your printer either..

The Printer manufactures talk about 100 years longevity, but that’s hog wash, because nobody really knows how long the inks will last, but what is certain the OEM photo paper will give up long before the ink will..
