KODAK Ultra Premium Photo Paper is RC paper? does it have OBA's ?
Yes I'm looking for RC paper without OBA's .
Hi Smile
Other than being
- A4
- Glossy
- No OBAs

Do you have any other requirements/needs for the photo paper?

It might help target recommendations e.g
- The HP Premium Plus Glossy A4 is still available on amazon.it in some quantity. Is that not of interest? Is it too expensive
- Do you want the same quality level, e.g., weight and quality reputation, or is that flexible
- What are your price requirements if any
- Do you prefer OEM papers targeting a particular printer and inks (and so which one) or do you want to cover those variables on your own
- If A4 is not a must and 8.5x11 is not an anathema to you, and you are willing to pay the shipping costs, the HP Premium Plus Glossy 8.5x11 in 50 count quantity is ~€21.36 (not likely yet, just thinking outside the box)

If the Kodak papers don't have OBAs that does sound like a great option for you.

Hi @Smile
Given my recent UV light testing on my papers, There are a couple items to consider.

1) If you are willing to go down from 300 g/m^2 down to 250 m/m^2, Then Epson Premium Glossy or Semi-Glossy in A4 would possibly meet your needs. I tested the Epson Premium Glossy side by side with the HP Premium Plus Glossy paper under UV light and got the following results that showed the same UV reaction (note the surface under the paper was not smooth, which caused the variations in reflection.

I saw several places in the EU that sold this at reasonable prices when getting the 50-sheet size.

Also, investing in an inexpensive 265 nm flashlight is worth confirming the matching in OBAs for what you seek since that can change over time. It could change if a brand also sources the paper from different third-party paper companies.

2) Here is a link to an article about which papers have OBAs and which do not. Nice long list. It points out an issue, though. It lists Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Glossy as not having OBA's, yet my UV testing of a recent batch of that Epson paper shows just the opposite. In examining the source code of the report, it appears that it was written in 2012 and updated in 2019, so the data might be stale. This is another reason to do basic testing with an inexpensive UV 365 nm UV light.

I hope this helps some.
