I got my site up and running, all the links should work fine now. http://printers.pokeyoureye.com, on the page you'll find pictures of the cd tray, and 8 short movies on what it does. I guess i overdid it a little, hehehe. Also, i was skimming over < http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=36631&forum_id=40&page=19 > and i saw someone said that it needed to be black all over. Is this true? I noticed that in one of your cd tray pictures that it is black on all of the top part.

Thanks,
Trent

I see some problems:

1. Reflectors don't seem aligned properly

2. The top is to short

3. The tray is to flimsy

4. The top layer is not thick enough

5. The printable cd seems to have a bigger center then standard

Just a little update, color about half of the total length of the cd tray black with a sharpie worked wonders, printed on my first cd. Actually they are labels on cd's because i didn't want to order actual printable CD's before i knew if the printer was going to work correctly or not. Thanks for all your help :)

Righto, these sites have moved so update your links.

CJB had some nasty stuff happening with their popups. There was a report of a trojan "PacerDMedia.Installer" on one of their popups. As a direct result knightcrawler and my self moved our sites.

SIDENOTE: zakezuke, let me know if you guys (or anybody else) would like to move your content to my site www.nifty-stuff.com.

I've got a great program that is really easy to use. If your stuff is nifty enough I'll link to if from the front page of the site! :D

KnightCrawler and Zakezuke, I read some of your postings at Steve's forum and I am VERY impressed! Especially the part about MP7xx's service menu!

BTW, do you guys know any way to reset the waste tank counter on the MP7xx ?

I still need to translate this bloody manual. I know it was kinda translated but the language used in one section isn't the same as in another.
MAP.gif

The service mode is clearly indicated as [menu] [scan] [copy] [scan].

Under #7 "printer' there I think is an option to change the value of the waste ink.
Under "test mode" there is also under "#8 etc" sub "#4 ee-prom clear" sub "#1 ink count"
There is also a factory mode if you hit menu while under "test mode"
But i've not had cause to use it so i'm not positive.
