The poor ole pro 9000 did 2 A3+ prints & refuses to print anymore. I decided to take the covers off the printer to see if I can find where that piece of plastic come from but no luck. I then took the carts & printhead out to see what the purge unit is doing. Well I saw inside the print head...
Thanks The Hat I will give the unit a good clean & just keep running it as is because it's printing fine without that piece of plastic. How long this will last for is anyone's guess it might even out last me:-)
Gday everyone hope you are all well. I haven't done much printing since my Pro 9500 went to the tip, I've just done a few colour prints with the 9000. I got fed up with the colour & tried to print some B&W using just copy paper as test prints. To my surprise using the Printer handles the print...
Gday all hope you are all well.
Since I've taken my poor ole Pro 9500 to the tip I have been using my Pro 9000 mk2 with the left over inks from Precision Colors which now are very low. I have just placed an order for a complete inkset from an Aussie mob called Rihac, I think they might be known...
Strange I just got this email after just posting here 30mins ago. I've never done sex chat before, is this a new way to get more posters here:-)

A very happy chappie here. I just did a nozzle check on the pro 9000 & it looks really good, I'm amazed. There was no change in the nozzle check after about 3 days soaking in the solution but a week or so later I have a clear nozzle check.
Maybe the solution softened the dried ink & over the...
If my long printhead soak doesn't work can I put some cleaning fluid in a clean black cart & run a print which might force the blockage out. I'm not sure if I dreamt it or read about it but I think some Epson printers did this.
Yes at my old age I only dream about clean printheads:-)
Haha you two are funny:-) I will try a long soak & see how that goes. The problem with a trip interstate to pick up a printer is if that state has a covid scare we would have to go into 2 weeks quarantine before they would let us back in to Queensland.
That would make the Pro 10 very expensive...
Thanks again The Hat & Stratman:-) The pro 9000 has been used by my missus since I got the pro 9500 & I knew the head had a problem but it printed out the stuff she needed so the head is probably buggered.
The brightness & contrast difference in the nozzle checks is because & shot them with my...
Flooded the purge pads with windex but no change in the nozzle check. I've just mixed up some Pharmacist solution & warmed it up & gently injected it just through the black channel. I got what looked to be a nice spray from the nozzle so I dried the head to give it a try out.
I did the clean...
I have been looking for a used Pro 10 but the closest places I have seen one is over 1,000 miles away in Melbourne. I wouldn't buy one without seeing it working.
Thanks The Hat & Stratman:-) I bought a new oem Canon black cart & then did a deep clean & a nozzle check & it looks just the same to me. I let the printer sit for quite a while & did another nozzle check which also looks the same.
Do you think I should just nuke the black channel with...
Gday All. My Pro9500 is now going to E-waste & I have to go back to using my Pro 9000 mk2. It seems the black is the only colour needing a clean out & I was wondering if there's a way to just clean out that one channel without upsetting the the other colours as the nozzle check on them looks...
Down here they are selling the Pixma mega tank range of printers using bottle inks. If they made one for A3 paper it might be worth a look for me to replace my pro9500 which can only print B&W because of the faulty head. So far I can't find any A3 printers with refillable ink tanks.
