    Epson ET=2750

Could be a few things... I'm busy finishing a video that's aimed specifically at troubleshooting Ecotank printers but due to technical issues I need to reshoot some of the footage and then edit the whole thing so it's going to be a week or so before it's done but don't throw the printer out just...

My second Epson SC-P900 is kaputt...

Oof! If it was second hand and I'm guessing has had some moving around it may have had ink or similar that shorted out some of the electronics. That's gotta hurt though. Hope it wasn't too expensive.

Canon TS5040 5B00 resetter / reset absorber full

Actually just checked and the WICReset app also supports the TS5000 series so it should be able to do what you need as an alternative to the Canon service tool. You'll need to purchase a WICReset key though. The instructions @PeterBJ provided for getting it into service mode still apply though.

Do Canon Mega Tank Printers have code to reset ink pad?

Can provide a little insight in this. For now at least, most maintenance box units seem to have a respective resetter.

    What are these manuals?

No idea but I can't see myself punting that amount of cash to find out it's just a "refer to Canon head office" :smack

Has anyone used Precisions chipless kit for the SC-P800?

FWIW: if you can get hold of older firmware updates that don't have the third party crippling function you can extra the necessary file to a memory stick and use that to revert your firmware to an older version. https://support.printerpotty.com/2022/hp-firmware-downgrade

ET-8550 - Excessive Borderless Printing What Precautions?

As waste ink is my bag I can tell you that your caution is well advised... The ET-8550 is supported for it's main waste ink output by the maintenance box that you can change out yourself... BUT, the platen waste ink pad (and counter) are locked away from the end-user and cannot be reset. Now...

Windows 10 driver for Epson CX3600

They're considerably bigger now but still full of all sorts of mischief ;) Odd that it's falling between the cracks but the follow on suggestions from other members cover the bases I would have suggested (and then some) so hopefully you'll find something in those that works. Keep us posted...

Windows 10 driver for Epson CX3600

Had a quick look and the CX3600 wasn't released in the UK but the CX3650 was. From using that I found that Epson have released a "Universal Print Driver" which is sparkly and new with a release date of 24/01/24... https://download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/6601/epson660114eu.exe Let me...

You know you're a printer addict when...

It appears my habit hasn't changed... if anything it's worse... - You look around your room and realise you have more than 20 working printers in it - You look around your workspace and realise that there's a further 25-30 broken printers in it Whoops!

How to disable remaining ink detection on canon pro-1000

So to summarise and make this less technical... (I've paraphrased the quotes here) So when you get error code 1752, top up the ink in the cartridge and replace the cartridge and the error will disappear for a while. This is the error code you want to disable the ink monitoring levels at. Not...

    Label/Receipt Printer High Volume Recommendation

Unfortunately I don't have any of the newer models so can't comment but I'd imagine they'll be very similar in terms of functionality and speed. As to label costs, we actually get free 6x4" labels from our couriers so we don't buy them ourselves. Once of the few benefits of being a UK operation...

    Label/Receipt Printer High Volume Recommendation

The ones I use are the GK420D and we do have a couple of GK420T's as well but I believe they've stopped making those and pushed to newer so I'm out of date. The GK420D's are absolute work horses for us though for our shipping labels and various other bits... The T variant are great for colour...

How long will the ink absorber last on a Canon MegaTank?

Sounds like they were having problems with air getting into the CIS system. If you find that's a problem, check that the orange label hasn't been left on the top of the printhead. If it has, remove it... but make sure you clamp off the tubing first by lifting the blue ink reservoir cover so it's...

Canon Pro-100s - when deep cleaning doesn't help

Tbh I know we've had some issues with the Greys, Light Greys in the past and I've learned not to ass-u-me it's user error (unlike the days of IT tech support). But age is likely the primary culprit here... and by that I mean ink age, not the number of "tree rings" on ourselves if someone hacks...

I swapped 551 OEM cartridge ink with OEM gi-53 ink. A Write Up.

Ain't that the truth... But we don't want them getting too cocky either ;) Never apologise for positive messages. There's plenty enough of vitriol and angst that needs a kick in the pants. Thanks again..

Canon Pro-100s - when deep cleaning doesn't help

With our version 1 Pro-100 inks, yes, unfortunately very much yes.. With the version 2's... Less so but if memory serves there has been some limited reports of inks degrading less gracefully, or uniformly on the version 2's but pretty rare all told. In this instance though it does look to be...

"You know you're a printer addict when..." ... you're still active on this forum! In truth though I did actually wonder if Inkjet printers would have been effectively an afterthought long before now but Covid, home schooling, remote working, etc... somehow we're still here. :frow:old
