I received a free Epson R3000 printer. Owner said he had not used it for a while and head needed a good cleaning, He also said it was problematic in that he got error messages regarding the ink carts. I cleaned it up, put in a new set of re-fillable carts, with inks from ali express. Wow! Great...

Well, the new print head seems to have done the trick. Hopefully I'll get some good years use out of this printer.

Well, I pulled the trigger and ordered new print head from a top rated seller on fee-bay.

New on ebay is about $200. From Canon about $206 + tax, and shipping. If I knew for sure this would solve the problem, I'd probably go for it, but I'm on the fence about it....

I'm just at the point where it's time to re-order, and thought maybe I'm not up to speed on what's available. I'll just order more PC inks and continue as I've been doing.

I've been using pc inks in my pro 100 for years, no issues. I just wonder if there are other inks that are better, or similar but lower cost?

I just got a new in box pro 100, sans ink and print head. I got it as a spare for the 4 year old unit I'm using. Out of curiosity, I searched for a new print head. They are crazy expensive. Is there a economical source I' m overlooking?

I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing then.
