going from PC inks to new PC inks formula

I've been refilling with PC inks for a couple of years now. Between my two sets of carts, I've refilled 16 times. I've never flushed my carts, and have never had any problems.
I'm going to be ordering a fresh set of inks in the next few weeks. I'm thinking I can just add new formula to old without flushing carts. Is this correct?
For what I'm using the printer for, longevity of the prints is not an issue.
