My current printer (epson NX420) is slowly dying plus it isn't exactly ideal for what I use it for anymore. So, her is what I am considering to replace it:
-Epson WF 3620
-Epson WF 2760.
-Canon MX922
Pretty much all I need is a printer that does auto 2-sided printing, can have a CISS installed...
These are some more pics I took. The first one is some high pressure sodium streetlights against a sunset. The second was taken an Jay Cooke State Park in Minnesota. Last is just a picture of some yellow leaves on a tree.
I couldn't help but notice how this printer appears to have an internal CISS. I thought that canon printers don't work well with them, because they get air in the lines. Does this by any chance maybe use piezo printheads?
Other than that, its a very nice printer...:drool
We may get a new Canon pixma MG6620 soon, but one of the computers I would like to use it on has Ubuntu 14.04 on it (may be somewhat newer). Anyway, I would like to know if this printer is compatible with Ubuntu 14.04. I currently have an HP deskjet 932c on the computer using the HPLIP driver...
In case you are still working on this project, there is a cartridge I could suggest:
A Lexmark 16 black ink cartridge. They are slightly smaller than the HP 60 cartridge, so it might be the best choice. I am not sure on the nozzle count or anything like that, though.
Here is a pic:
That would not...be good. :eek:
By priming, does this mean the printhead stops and goes over the waste ink reservor every few seconds and blast a ton of ink out?
I was about to ask the same thing, but you beat me to it!
It probably would work fine, since the thermal ink is supposed to be heated, it would probably be better in a piezo printhead.
The picture I took was in an indoor butterfly garden at a zoo in Minnesota. It's a queen butterfly. I should have said that before, I probably confused some people.
@Emulator
That looks like a combo of a high-speed train and a praying mantis. :D
