Hi guys,
crisis averted thankfully:)
I bought a new yellow cartridge and it works fine. So apparently I had two faulty yellow catridges...
Thanks for your help
Hello!
Once again I have problems with my Canon Pro 9500 Mark I. The last time I had problems, this forum really helped and I am hoping for more of the same:)
The printer is giving the error message that the yellow ink tank cannot be recognized. I also get the 4 orange blinks in succession...
Hi everyone!
I was offered a used HP DesignJet 130 for real cheap (around 150 Euro). Apparently it works fine and wasn't used much, but I will get the chance to test it before buying, so there is little risk involved.
What is the general opinion of this printer? I know it's a six ink dye...
Ah, so plain paper setting uses Matte Black? That's good to know, thanks!
@The Hat, when you say "solid image print", you mean black, right?
Although since I actually do have a damaged print head, I might as well buy some cartridges and try this method? Are there any advantages/disadvantages...
Hello!
my printer (Pro 9500) is now working again, but I have lost so much ink during various cleaning and startup cycles that I am now very low on ink. I have to buy some new supplies.
From what I gather in this forum, the two best options are Octoinkjet and Precision Colors. My current ink...
Hi guys, a quick update...
I received the new print head and I can confirm that everything works smoothly. The nozzle check is once again flawless and everything seems fine so far.
Thanks everyone for your help, I can say without doubt, I wouldn't have done it without you:)
Since I now have...
Yes, I'll definitely buy a new print head, but I have just one final question before that.
Is the service print pattern ok? I mean, some of the colors are solid blocks, while others have that "bar-like" pattern (green, magenta, cyan).
I received the print head today. Thanks, The Hat!
Here are the results:
Nozzle check
This looks ok. The upper pattern was printed with the head I received from The Hat, the lower one was printed with my print head. The colors definitely look more vivid in the upper pattern. They also look...
Thanks everyone for the answers. This photobook is sort of a personal project for me, so I am not too bothered by costs at this point. I might be in the future...
Thanks, Ink stained Fingers!
You are right about the price of OEM inks, what I meant was they are too expensive for me:)
I am not really set on Canon and although I would like to restore my 9500, I could easily buy an additional Epson printer for dye inks.
I see you have the L800 which is a...
Hi all!
So, this is my second topic since finding this fantastic forum a few days ago. I have a failed print head in my Canon Pro 9500 Mk I which I will hopefully be able to fix with The Hat's generous help:)
In the meantime, I have been reading quite a lot on this forum and learning a lot. I...
Thanks turbhuy. I've tried pushing the cable in the print head but no luck. Is there a way to test this?
Do you think if I took the to a service center they could tell me what needs replacing?
Ok, I guess that's it then for this printer. The price of both the print head the the logic board is too high and I am not even sure the logic board can still be purchased. At least I can't find it on ebay. Is there a way to test if the logic board is still ok?
The Hat, how certain it is that only the print head needs replacing?
Looking at second-hand printers for sale where I live (slovenia), I don't have many options for the money I am prepared to spend currently (200-300 Euro). I can get an Epson 1400, Epson R2880 or a Canon Pro-100. I could get a...
I've now cleaned the back of the print head and there are no changes. The service test print looks the same. I guess that's it for this printer or is there anything else I can try?
Along with the printer I received some third party ink (octoinkjet) and the chip resetter. What are my options if...
