    Designjet 500ps pigment ink suggestions

Never run dye heads on pigment, HP is not epson with piezo heads. Thermal heads will clog.

    New spectrophotometer from Konica-Minolta

This must be a joke since 0,0389 myiro is > then 0,0086 i1pro. The EIZO has one of the worst colorimeters built into their screens I have ever seen, with multiple customers I could not make same color temperature profiles with their inbuilt devices. What a waste of money.

IP4300 sludge looking paste left on ink pad under print head

I always suggest that everyone should have second set of carts with cleaning fluid. This way periodic maintenance can be done. On large format printers manufacturers themselves sell sutch cartridges.

Canon Printers for a fool? a.k.a Canon G series

Canon seems to have slipping ground with the Epson L series EcoTank etc. But they decided to magically turn single use carts to "CISS -Printheads" by rinning tubes to them. Should I mention the print heads move on bent sheet metal? Not a proper linear guide like old printers? Like EPSON L800...

    Distilled vs Deionized Water

Distilled water is the way to go, get a TDS meter and test. If it shows zero, the water is good, as clean as it can get IMHO. Get two meters to you can catch them if one begins to lie. No needs to spend huge money on the meter. Get the Original Xiaomi Mi TDS Pen Tester for 7USD it works very good

Well I can say that in niche market like color management problem is that software maker get away with mediocore software for premium price. So since gretagmacbeth was bought by xrite. For those that don't know they were not able to make decent hardware so they bought their competitor...

The printer needs G-26 grease, and O-14 oil. They are from EPSON. Different part number for different printers but they are the same grease and oil Epson use. The grease is white PTFE teflon, the Oil is like silicone but it might be something else. Best to get from local EPSON service center as...

EU Customs Duties on inks from North America

You can buy all the guns but I bet you are afraid that even postal office is spying on you and you would be afraid to declare lower price for a parcel too. The fact is that agreed price between customer and seller is (should be) a trade secret.

EU Customs Duties on inks from North America

it ain't cheap, but if you had to bribe doctors for (few hundred euros) any medical attention, wait for a single special day in a month to register for doctor visit. Then you would speak differently. And don't suggest to go to private medicine, since all the stupid doctors that work in private...

3D print bubble bursted, what brands are still floating?

I would rather look the assembled and more of a inkjet printer alike stuff like Sindoh or https://eu.kodama3d.com/collections/trinus/products/trinus-3d-printer It's nice to tinker with stuff but you can't have that and stability. You either adjust, make, built the printer in forever cycle or...

    Colour calibration help please.

A perfect profile does not exist! A profile that pass certain level of certification routine is a profile you can trust and know you paid money for some value not gimmick. I'm from Lithuania - geographical center of Europe.

    Colour calibration help please.

Yes you are correct. Software in print is key for quality. However software in profile making is absolute rubbish compared to printing apps. How can Xrite or other brands get away with it I do not understand. Especially with american attitude to sue everybody in court for silly things. You...
