Interesting thought after a long run of magenta problems previously OctoinkJet picked up on my posts and kindly sent me a fresh bottle, and I as now nearly out likewise nearly out of cyan apart from several carts which were prefilled.
I bought this printer as ex demo it arrived spotless like...
What I was asking is whether the red light showed when the cart was installed, if not I am assuming the printer is not recognizing the cart and hence no text. The other alternative is to install a new OEM cart. I assume you are using I.S. Inks. and are you using all the ink before re-filling if...
Printer has been fine today once I got the A4 copy function sorted. Done about 25/30 pages colours normal. If nozzle checks consistently show black/yellow/PGBK fine and then you get either cyan or magenta missing completely, I would suspect the carts rather than the print head. I have used...
I assume you reset the cart and got first the short flash followed by a solid light. Then when installed it should be lit up. I note you did a nozzle check have you also done a head clean ? the nozzle check only used a small amount of ink.
Thanks PeterBj for your post and instructions. Before visiting the Forum this morning I tried resetting the printer to factory settings via device settings and this restored the full A4 copy facility. However I wish to stress that the A4 symbol was showing in my first copies. It was only...
Yes I am putting the original in the right place and selecting 100% but the copy as shown in the jpeg has moved the side margin over and cut the equivalent amount off the other side. I have since noticed that the A4 size is now missing from the display. It goes...
1. have already checked the purge system as per The Hats request and it was OK.
2. Have changed both magenta/cyan carts, in fact have tried 4 different cyan all OEM/I.S.ink both top fill and the German method. The cyan cart I put in this morning was a top fill previously tried without success...
Yesterday after I inserted a purged/top/fill cart the nozzle check was OK but I was still doubtful and as soon as I printed solid colour the cyan disappeared and magenta was streaky. This morning a nozzle check revealed zilch cyan. I inserted a cart previously tried and nozzle check after 1...
A weird problem with this machine today. I wanted to do some copying at 100% see original jpeg where the left margin is approximately 3/4" from the left hand edge whereas the copy is 2" from the same edge. This has cut off part of the text on the right hand size.
L have tried various settings...
I agree the Durchstich method is cleaner and in my view quicker and I get the carts filled right up, which I personally cannot achieve I get about 75/80% with top fill before the overflow occurs.
However with the newer printers I and others have experienced poor feeding after a relatively few...
I found this morning a New compatible magenta I did not know I had. However 2 nozzle checks 2 cleaning runs still no magenta. Will pull the print head again and clean it.
Some carts have been purged but I have a lot of used carts some bought from E-bay and some Octoinkjet but unfortunately I...
I have followed with great interest the posts on this subject and would like to be able to improve my output but do not print great number of photos's. I see references to colourmunki they make numerous models most of which are very expensive.
What is the minimum model likely to be effective...
I downloaded some CMYK printer test charts to follow up on Trigger 37 remarks on my previous posts that the print head was failing when put under load but was OK for a nozzle check. Well he was correct whilst I have printed 20 or so web pages since my last disaster nothing of great colour...
Thanks PeterBj can confirm that my second nozzle check which I have in front of me matches your first class example apart from some missing nozzles in PGBK but further printing testing the colour rendition has eliminated these. I also got the same server error when trying to view my own...
To clarify I do print every day and a nozzle check every week hence my frustration with this regular losses of printing function. Not tried purge test (The Hat) but will of course try that Trigger 37 comments seem to indicate print head blockage which I will pursue.
I have tried all my stock...
A few months back I had a similar issue with Magenta, lost it completely tried several carts (all OEM I.S Inks) many head cleans failed to resolve it. Eventually and reluctantly I pulled the print head and went through the recommended gentle window cleaning method (Panos) but to no avail...
Great Post saved the info. for general information for the future. Whilst you had the printer down to its bare bones to avoid a further dismantling was an external ink tank ever considered?
Yes 3/16" about right for the C/Y/M/B PB is larger I use a needle scabbard with the plain end cut off. its 2" long and being rigid stays upright. I use it with a standard syringe, works well for me
