Xerox WorkCentre 6027 All-In-One Color LED

Nearly a year later, and this printer is still delivering finely. Still on included consumables, print quality is still excellent, printer remains quieter than most lasers I've experienced, there's no apparent toner-dumping going on, everything remains sharp and clear, whether black-only or...

    CD/DVD Printer suggestion

And how would you propose that the high-heat-transfer method of laser print be applied to plastic CDs/DVDs? A foolish and potentially destructive proposal, in my estimation.

    New to laser printers

I purchased a Xerox WorkCentre 6027 back in May becuase my Samsung was on the outs, and it's been great so far. It certainly does have an RJ45 Ethernet connection. I landed it at a sale price of US $299 as a closeout; it's since been superceded by a newer model. You'll see on the Xerox website...

How to open multi-page threads to FIRST post instead of LAST?

It used to NOT work the way others have said it does, while it was soon after that it changed.

How to open multi-page threads to FIRST post instead of LAST?

Especially annoying is when I come across a multi-page thread which I haven't yet visited, and it opens by default on the last post or page. Grrr! I wanna see the original post, before I delve deeper! Can this behavior be changed in my profile, or am I doomed to the shortsightedness of the...

Xerox WorkCentre 6027 All-In-One Color LED

Yes, no doubt laser toner is more resilient, as it's plastic powder fused to paper by heat. Color print output as compared to the PRO-100 is actually quite close, surprisingly. Red is not as rich, and blacks are not as dark, but it's a very close copy nonetheless. Holding the two prints...

Xerox WorkCentre 6027 All-In-One Color LED

Well, around another week into ownership, and this printer is a good one. My wife likes to crochet, and sometimes prefers printed patterns as opposed to looking at a computer display. She printed two patterns, and was very pleased with the quality. Gridlines were sharp, colors were vivid, and...

Xerox WorkCentre 6027 All-In-One Color LED

See THIS THREAD for my reasons in buying this printer. US $299 from B&H Photo/Video at time of posting this. Federal stimulus and a boost to unemployment payments due to coronageddon made this purchase possible, while still banking extra monies. ;) The following is the review I posted to the...

    Samsung CLP-300

Thanks for this. It may be of some help.

    Samsung CLP-300

So, I've had this printer for a number of years. I don't print a lot from it. It worked perfectly for a few years, with light use, then crapped on me. History: It printed DVD covers and anything else I asked of it for at least two years. It was a workhorse, with great color output. I rarely...

    Finally had a low-ink warning for PRO-100

Whoa! @pharmacist replied to my measly thread! :th While I've only replaced the carts once, I have another set filled which are not so full. I probably overfilled in my eagernesss, leading to the drips. I now have a used set of OEM carts, some of which show proper ink levels when full and...

    Finally had a low-ink warning for PRO-100

No worries: the carts dripped a few times, then stopped completely. Nothing further, even after shaking to encourage drips. They went through some mild temperature changes, so I suspect that somehow created a slight pressure change.

    Finally had a low-ink warning for PRO-100

...and I replaced the full cart set with flushed & refilled carts. Some drips occurred when releasing the storage clips, and I was prepared for that, just as OEM and other carts will do. A few more drips from some carts as opposed to others, but they're all good. It took but a few seconds for...

    CD/DVD Printer suggestion

Something I haven't seen as a suggestion, is a third-party software to generate prints on disks. I've used the Acoustica CD/DVD Labeler for several years, and it's exceptional. I believe @stratman uses it, too. It offers all sorts of image adjustments, circular text fields, infinite adjustment...

    Cartridge Identification- Help please.

There's probably something within the Android OS to indicate at least a print driver, though I wouldn't know the first thing about how to get to the information. Considering Android is a 'Nix variant, I'd suspect a Linux/Unix expert could find something. I'd also suspect the setup to be using a...

Any interest in a simple Photo thread?

I've only chimed in on this thread once or twice, even though I do enjoy photography. However, an unexpected(and very unintentional) inheritance has given me the means to acquire a camera which I had only fantasized about having, and it's an exceptional camera indeed. It is the Canon EOS 5D Mk...

Best practices on first-time Pro-100S ink management

If you'll be refilling, I'd suggest having one or more sets of all 8 carts at the ready. The whole-set changeout mentioned is a way to significantly reduce spent ink from the purge cycle that is triggered by a change of just 1 cart. So instead of all 8 channels being purged for a single cart...

Canon Pixma Pro 100 idle for 3 months

If the printer is in a very dry environment, and such is the reason for idle time concerns, I'd probably just remove the carts and chuck 'em into storage clips for the duration. Likewise, removing the print head and rinsing with Windex then water and leaving in a safe place to dry. Seems to me...

    Which SSD to buy?

It's a physical hard drive, as mentioned. It crashed. Some clicking, sometimes it won't spin. It spins now about half the times it's given power. Windows 7 was running; it crashed during normal use. Error one moment, bluescreen the next. Total failure from the OS afterwards. Switch to SSD...

    Which SSD to buy?
