So, I've had this printer for a number of years.
I don't print a lot from it.
It worked perfectly for a few years, with light use, then crapped on me.
History:
It printed DVD covers and anything else I asked of it for at least two years.
It was a workhorse, with great color output.
I rarely turn the power on to it anymore, because it goes into a long cycle
of what's expected of a laser printer warming up.
I might get a print or five from this thing one time,
but trying something else throws a red-light indicator.
Subsequent shutdowns for cooling may or may not restore printing.
I've even been inside the thing to gently clean off the scrapers, and that seemed to help
for a short time, but it's now back to a hit-or-miss situation.
The big questions now: Is this printer worth bothering with,
or am I wasting my efforts in limping along with it?
I really do WANT color laser, while I want my expense in using one
to be fairly low. Should I pursue fixing this one, or should I move
to another?
