Maybe I need a dot matrix printer.

I realize that, but I need a small printer and my printing load is light. I was also looking at the Epson WF1000 and the HP equivalent. The price is a little high for what they are.

Despite having being recently harpooned by Canon, I'm looking at the PIXMA iP 110. Does anyone have any experience with it?

I have resigned myself to replacing this thing but I am soured on Canon. Since no parts are available, it hardly matters.

Cartridges that come with printers are usually short filled, besides I buy compatible aftermarket cartridges to keep the cost down.

When most people have a dead printer here, and find out that the manufacturer doesn't support it, they don't go looking for someone that can use the good parts. They immediately dump the remains and get another. I like the idea, but it won't work here.

You are saying that it's a throwaway. The printer was more like 3 years old, and it carries the name of one of the biggest companies in the business. I really don't expect this. I especially don't like it. Welcome to the real world.

Whatever part of the printer is bad, Canon doesn't sell them. Given that, I want no part of Canon from now on. End of story. Now to find a printer that is supported by its maker.

I have a Canon iP3600. It is now dead. It uses CL1221 cartridges. I now have 3 still sealed refilled cartridges if someone wants them. Cost of postage. I can include a set of cartridges from the machine, 2 are unused but have been installed. PM me if anyone is interested.
