Hat, based on what you wrote I understand that the level of ink will be incorrectly informed in the LCD of the printer, as well as in the software (driver) in Windows 10.
However, when the print head car identifies that the ink is low it will inform it in the LCD and in Windows 10.
In other...
Yes, 150/151 carts.
As far as I know there were no resetters for them, so that I am using refillable carts.
By visually you mean looking the ink level at the cart, may be using a light to help, or checking whether the red light of the respective cart in the print head car is blinking...
Thanks. Only the cyan was low when I refilled all carts. At that time the red light of the cyan cart was also blinking. Only the cyan reseted. As far as I know the carts have automatic reset mechanism that works when the red lights are blinking.
Do the red lights at the carts work together...
Dear All,
I am using refilling carts in my MX721.
Some weeks ago the cyan ink was low and I took the opportunity to refill all carts. Now I see that the ink level of all carts, except for the cyan show wrong levels. This is fine, as it was expected to happen.
The question is how I control the...
Thank you for your help.
The marketing of ColorMunki suggests that it would be an easy task to match the printer and monitor...
Anyway, I have been trying many alternatives. However I have not succeed yet to get the brightness match (i.e., between the monitor and the prints). I am almost...
Dear All,
Once again I rely on your help. I know that the question below has been asked many times, but I cannot figure out how to solve it.
I own a MX721 printer. Recently, I purchased ColorMunki Photo (CMP).
I profiled the monitor in advance mode of CMP. The spectrometer measure the light...
I am an apprentice and avid reader of this very nice forum. I usually do not post, but I read it on a daily basis.
My comment is related to arc chip and it's cascade empty behavior that forces the printer to go with a large frequency into cleaning cycle.
Isn't it the same behavior of using OEM...
PeterBJ, It did improve my photos very much. I am satisfied with the results for now. I used Color (-)30Y and intensity (+)10. Thank you for your help .
Thanks The Hat for the help.
As mentioned, buying a spectrometer is very expensive for me now. It is in the US and, much more, in Brazil where I live because of import duties.
I was thinking about a profiling service. I will google for a service. If someone knows about a good company or...
Hi All, I am in need for someone that could create a profile for my printers (MX 721 and MP610). I have refillable carts and the colors are far from good. Acquisition of a spectrometer is way expensive for my needs. Does anyone know a good and affordable color profile vendor that I could use...
Hi All,
Until recently I had an Artisan 730, which I liked but it started to clog and one day I damaged the printhead during the cleaning process. After that I looked for alternatives and in light of a good discount and because of the general sense that Canons have less clogging problems I...
I learned a lot in this thread.
Thanks you all. Special thanks to the scientific comments from Ink Stained Fingers and the practical ones from Palombian.
I am happy that the difference in printing quality between Canon 5 and 6 inks in relation to standard photos of the above mentioned machines...
Thank you.
What precisely do you call high quality paper?
Is it related to the manufacturer or quality of the paper itself? For instance, Canon produces glossy papers named as Platinum, Plus Glossy II, Glossy, Business High Resolution, etc. Do you mean that good prints can only be obtained...
Hi All,
Could someone explain in detail the difference in quality between the printers that have 5 and 6 inks (e.g., MX 922 vs MG 7720)? Both printers with 9.600 dpi.
Is it only about B/W prints because of the gray cartridge? If so, how much difference is expected between the photos printed by...
Thank you very for your input. I am happy that you solved your problem. I ended up buying a new printer (Canon MX722). Not sure what to do with the Artisan 730 but I will probably toss it out.
One more question...
If I do not profile the colors of the 226 ink would it be very different from the ink contained in the 251 cartridges?
How different will be colors in the prints if I use the 226 inks in the MX722.
Thank you!
My concern is whether such ink could (somehow) damage the print head, as it is not designed for the 250/251 cartridges. I understand from you answer that there should not be any problem.
Thank you.
