I'm looking to try non Canon brand refillable cartridges for my MG6150. I'm getting more and more printing problems that I think are caused by poor ink flow/ink starvation. Flushing, refilling when the cartridge is still half full, etc don't seem to work any longer.
A while ago, I read in this...
I checked the manual for the "Cannot print, replace XX ink" message.
The explanation in tha manual is: "One or more of the ink cartridges have reached the end of their life. The machine will stop alll print operations".
I believe your catridge is empty, or at least the chip indicates that it...
Yep, the left part is the ink reservoir. The ink gets sucked from the reservoir into the sponge in the right part. When the reservoir is empty there will still be enough ink in the sponge.
I refill my cartridges immediately after the first low in warning, but that is to protect the sponge from...
I have one of such cheap DCp serie printers. It takes indeed forever to print a 4x6. But for normal document printing and copying it suffices.
I agree with your earlier post. In case you invest several 1000 in a DSLR, you want to print your photo's. In that case, I would buy a dedicated photo...
Auto duplex, print backwards all work well. Some of the models print the pages sideways (landscape) so the printer takes less space. Some models have an auto sheetfeeder for copying/scanning which is very handy.
How about Polaroid giving away their cameras almost for free and cashing on the filmpacks (apart from their folding slr, the Alpha SX-70, the best camera ever produced).
Although I don't print that much I will keep refilling, simply because I don't want to pay any company that much money on...
I think it might very well be the same item. I bought a similar one as from octopus in the Netherlands for 15 eu. I did not post that link because I don't know if they ship to Spain.
In @Pauleria's position, my choice would be to buy the chipresetter from eBay and refill the original...
I would recommend to change them all. After changing only BK the printer will do a cleaning cycle with a big chance that one of the others will have to be replaced afterwards.
@palombian, I have not-made-by-Canon clips that can be reused and seal the outlet perfectly. I also use them when refilling.
Martin (Websnail) has these clips in his webshop.

Yep, same thing happened to me. Chip thinks the cartridge is empty. The DCP-J132W takes LC-123 catridges, so that's the resetter you want. Don't know where you live, I got my resetter in the Netherlands for about 15 euros.
I'm about to flush a number of CLI/PGI 526/525 catridges for future use. What is the best way to store them after drying?
Attach the orange clip?
Cover the refill hole (top filling)?
Cover the air vents?
Leave everything open?
Or should I refill the carts right away and store them with ink in...
Yep, I'm impressed by their service. And I like the printers. I have 2 Brother printers with LC-123 carts now and just saw that the chip resetter for the LC-223 chip has become available which brings their latest models within reach.
I'm thinking about ditching Canon after many years of as they...
Got the printer back today. They fixed it under warranty. on the receipt it says that the carrier was repaired. No idea what that means. I cannot find a carrier in parts section the service manual. But it must be something that prevented the head from positioning correctly.
What do they mean by version 2 chips? Do I understand correctly that Brother updated their firmware and that older aftermarket cartridges don't work with the new firmware?
This wouldn't affect original LC-123 cartridges with orginal chips that were reset, right?
Thank you. I managed to find a parts reference list that also shows the printer assembly. However I cannot remove the scanner part. The hinges are a problem to get out.
When the printhead is in the far right position it sounds like a gear that is moving past its endpoint. Maybe a timing...
I have a Brother DCP-J-4110DW that on startup gives an error "Unable to clean 35". According to the manual it may be a foreign object in the printer or a mechanical problem.
The printer makes squeeking noises when the printhead moves to the right to the purgepads. I want to disassemble the...
Update to my post of Dec 15.
The DCP-J132w does use the chip to keep track of ink levels. I refilled the cartridge with no problem and the printer reset the ink level meter to full after I answered a yes to the question whether I changed the cartridge. No problem there.
However, after some more...
