Now if it was a larger quantity I might try running it through my .5 micron wine filter.
On second thought as I write this, its not worth it!!!:barnie Im not that thrifty. :) I think Ill just have a glass of wine and forget it.:celebrate
Ok I got it. I am going to make a trip to our pharmacy tonite to get either the glycol or glycerine.
Then I will fill each cart and drain it again with the paper towel method (overnite) and re weigh the carts just as a double check.
Thank you for explaining all this to me. I know I have a...
Ahhh Now I think I got it.
my 226 carts are weighting in at 11.5 g. So they must still have enough moisture in the sponge.???
Now guys please excuse my ignorance but.....
cartridge cleansing/conditioning solution:
3 % propylene glycol (or 2 % glycerine) Is this like std. car anti-freeze...
I guess I dont understand your reply. Im trying to determine if I have removed enough of the water from the carts after flushing them so I can refill them.???
Hey thats a very good picture of how to do it. I forgot, I just bought some of those plugs and they are sitting on my desk right now. duh forget a lot of things these days. Actuallly I bought them because I wanted to see them and thought maybe I might try top filling a set of carts.
Ive been...
Like I said earlier when I put the ball back in it clicked in place like it went into a socket. I filled the cart first put the ball in and then turned it over with the exit port uncovered facing upward. It sat there for at least 2 hours and now I have it turned over again for the last 8...
I guess I was trying to verify if I just got lucky or is this a reasonable approach to try without getting into much trouble. That ball just sort of snaps in place like it was locating in a socket.
So I guess you are saying the seal label or foil over the area that has the round pressed in object is actually the seal and the round object is just a filler to help support the foil, label, seal ????
What if I just use the ball and no foil. I was considering the foil as a backup that I may or may not use. Near as I can tell the ball sealed up the hole just like a new oem.
I just purchased over 40 Canon carts off of Ebay. I’m getting ready to flush out these carts 225s & 226s OEM virgin never refilled carts. I’ve looked at the various ways you guys and gals have been flushing them, and I believe pushing water in the ink exit port is the way to go as long as you...
The website is Inkjetcarts.us
Weird extender.
And Ron Im with you Kinda, but in his favor he did call me directly to try and help me out but he may not know there is a problem with these resetters or his generic chips. The two orders of chips I got from him one were made up on a black board...
OK I would like to bring this whole thread to end on my part. Peter with the 3 AAA nicads installed in the battery pac, I got 3.94 v after a full charge and then I let them set for about 4 hours. The voltage at C1 or as Tudor suggested on pads 1 & 3 I got 3.26V which I guess should have been...
Well I just found a huge error I was making in checking the voltage. I was assuming the metal housing of the usb receptacle was grounded. So I was checking between it and C1. WRONG It is not grounded. So now after checking the voltage between the ground of the internal USB recept. and C1 I am...
Well Im back with more info. I did attach a battery pac to the resetter with 3 AAA batteries and also a switch as you suggested. When I turned the switch on the led on the board went thru it normal sequence changing from green to red 3 times and then went out. I tried to reset a cyan mag and...
I guess I kinda owe an apology here for starting a thread and then not answering about the info. It sounds like this takes quite a bit of care and involvement keeping a dedicated printer clean with out plugging it up. So temporarily I have given up on it. Maybe in the future I will look at it...
