Thats what I was afraid of. I will try what you recommend.. Can you recommend a replacement printer that is all in one with duplex. Where the carts are refillable and re-settable. Ive been looking on the Canon site and looks like I see a few but cant tell any info about the carts.:(
Its been a long time since I have had any problems, but this looks serious... MX922 printer giving me a B200 error. Took carts out and cleaned all contacts but still error. So what is this thing telling me.
Problem has been resolved... I found an older BK OEM cart that I tried in the printer. It gave me a good test printout which I was pleased with. I then took the refillable BK cart and flushed it then prepped it with pharmacists solution and refilled it with ink. It appears to be working fine...
Im having trouble determining whats wrong with my black carts. These are the refillables (250 &251) purchased from milking. The printer is an MX922. Ive uploaded 3 different pics. The first is the resulting printout after I finished cleaning the print head.
As you can see the black band...
Hey Hat, orange caps up???? Sponge outlets don't dry out... Aren't you going to get ink eventually making its way to the vent... Ive stored all different ways with all holes sealed and vent taped just like OEM carts but never found one way that was best. All seemed to develop a problem in due...
That's what I was originally asking. Where do I get a resetter for these chips and what is the best way to refill these carts. These carts are different than previous version carts.
Thanx Peter BJ,
That's pretty much what I had determined but I thought I wasn't reading these yellow and red signals properly. So I guess Im just pretty much on my own with these things. I will just refill all carts at once to avoid wasting ink each time it runs a purge cycle... I have seen...
What I meant by "dry" empty to the point where the RED signal comes on. I assume there isn't much ink left cept whatever is left in the sponge. I don't like the idea of using this ink in the sponge which might change the way it can hold ink when it is replenished. Can I assume the RED signal...
Hey Hat,
When I first got this printer I was told the XLs could not be refilled easily and their chips were not resettable???. So that why Mikling sold me a set of his refillables with Arc chips. These chips only reset if you run the cart completely dry. I would like to be able to refill the...
Need an update… Been away from this refilling for a while. Are there any refillable carts out their 251xl and 250xl that have chip that will auto reset when the cart is removed or refilled. The ones I have now the carts have to be completely empty so the prism on the bottom sees no ink in the...
Has there ever been a list made up of which printers require the zero clearance silicone plugs after refilling and the other clearance plugs?? Lately Ive been refilling carts for other people but dont want to get them into trouble because of using the wrong plug. I realize zero clearance would...
Well I still like my method (whirling sock with carts wrapped with a paper towel).

Ive been using this for quite a while now with no problems. Although I wouldn't use it to empty ink out of a...
Ok mike I tried the paper clip and to be honest I could not tell if I was moving the sponge away from the vertical separator. Im pretty sure I was able to push the sponge away from the bottom of the cart. I did this with the cart over half full. When I re-tried it I got the same results. It...
Bought a set of 250 compatibles from precision colors. Ive only refilled each of them about 3 times. All of the sudden the pgbk started streaking and missing on a text doc I was printing. The cart was half full when I pulled it to take a look at it. Put it back in and printed a nozzle chk it...
Maybe I'm missing something here so here goes nothing... I see no mention of first flushing the cart with water before using Phamacists solution. The sponge has to be clean of all the old possibly dried ink before u use the pharm. solution.
