I cleaned the timing strip and checked the carriage, everthing was clean and the carriage moves easily and I still have the 5100 error. So I guess Im going to give up and junk the printer. Thanx for looking into this for me. So Im going to buy a Canon G6020 tomorrow.
I have a TR8520 that I think may have bitten the dust. Im getting error msgs 5100 and B203. Its also telling me to pull the plug and call service. Should I just junk this thing or is there a fix I can apply. FYI- I have been refilling OEM carts using the drip method. Ive been doing this since...
Thanks websnail & I S Fingers for your replies. Right now I'm on the edge of buying a G6020. My TR 8502 has not been a very good printer as I was warned by The Hat when I was going to purchase it. It has now stopped working all together. My 'OLD' inks are only a few months old so I think I'm ok...
Can the bottles that refill a G6020 or other megatank printers be refilled with my old canon ink. Or is it just easier to buy the standard canon refills.
Me three.... Cant remember that far back at least 10 years. MX printers mostly I also used to refill for friends that used the same carts as I did. Probably 20 min a month. Now Im still the only one. Going to start looking for a new printer that allows refillable and resetable carts. Sad to...
All inkjet printers can suffer from dried nozzles. To avoid this you need to print a full sheet ( test sheet) at least once every week or two to keep keep nozzles clear. Find a printer that has the features you desire and then check for availability of compatible carts for better price.
Welcome William, I used have a full blown color darkroom til digital came along. Now I'm just a retired Captain roaming the waters of lake Erie looking for a monster Walleye.
Lots of Ohioans around here. Home of Ohio State U., Lebron James, Cleve Cavaliers, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, Bob Feller greatest pitcher to ever throw a baseball.
It's sounds like your cartridge has an air lock. There are a couple of ways to solve this problem one is after you VERY SLOWLY refill the cartridge leave it's set in an upright position for at least 24 hours. The NEW ink has not settled to the bottom of the cartridge. By letting it sit this...
WOW!!! ALL THIS because I needed a printer. Well I chickened out and bought a Pixma TR8520. Pretty much the same as my old mx922. One reason I got somewhat confused over all those cart. No's. Tr8520 uses280 carts for which there are no generics. So 4 now I will just refill the originals and turn...
oops:he messed up.... the pic on the right 106 is the Maxify.. It is definitely grainier.
Now I still dont see the pigmented ink on Precision colors web site for Canon. Can someone guide me to it.
So now today I will pic a Maxify printer that fits my requirements.
I agree the pic on the left 106 is probably from the Maxify.
I guess Im a little behind here on technology. The maxify is using Pigmented ink??? Didnt know it was available.. I thought only black was available in Pigmented. I guess Im showing Im not up to speed as u other guys. Is this pig ink...
Yes that would be an interesting comparison. Never paid much attention to resolution before but now Im starting to see why the old Canons were so good. I gather there are no high resolution all in one Canons with easy refilling without paying big bucks. So now Im getting greedy by wanting it...
