I think you are almost there: if you are using photoshop, you should first assign the working rgb-profile to the file, in your case it is probably srgb1988-2 (maybe it is already included) and print with icc-profile srgb1988-2 in Epson print layout software, choosing relative colorimetric and...
I have found this information about programs that do no allow disabling color management using the null transform method:
https://www.dtgweb.com/wp-content/support_docs/Photoshop CS5 Printing Targets.pdf
This would be the same like disabling color management, but this method will assign...
Actually I exchanged my older P800 with this P900 to upgrade, but nevertheless I did not expect the printer was dead so soon. The person, with whom I exchanged the printer wanted the older version to convert to DTF, so maybe during the transport some ink leaked into some critical places causing...
Ohh well, I ordered an ET-8550 today. I hope this machine will do better. Still having my other Epson SC-P900, but the second one was second hand version and suddenly died with alot of burning smell coming from the printer and probably mainboard or print head are both fused and kaputt.
This morning I try to start my second Epson SC-P900 (second hand) and suddenly it gave an error 031006 and an a terrible burnt smell is coming from the printer. I am afraid this printer is for the waste bin. I have searched and it could be the mainboard fused or connectors or both. To...
Unfortunately the photo is not optimal with my smartphone. A scan might be better:
The shadows of the staircase are indeed crushed together, but the man with the cello is what it should be when I compare the picture printed on glossy paper (larger gamut and deeper black) with a higher count...
Recently I bought an Canon TS705 printer, because I could not find a suitable ID Card tray for my Epson SC P900 printer (despite it supports printing on CD/DVD discs).
Unfortunately the standard setting by the Canon printer was suboptimal: colours are washed out and greys have a brownish look...
Hi Lothar,
yes the profile is made with the +50% ink load, if not the contrast is suboptimal. So take care when making the profile the extra load in included. Due to the structure of the paper you must use 400 patch target when using the i1Pro2. I have made these profile using the...
For only €1.99 I bought this cheap textured and thick aqurelle paper from Action (a discount shop all around Europe). It has a nice grain texture and a weight of 300 gsm, so very thick but can be easily printed in my Epson SC-P900 with very good results.....That is: I had to increase ink usage...
If you don't want to flush the carts: exchange the chips of the MK and PK and swap the cartridges accordingly and try to transfer the sticker: MK to PK and PK to MK. If not possible: write down MK and PK with a marker.
Last I had a particular offer from somebody from Latvia, who wanted my Epson SC-P800 printer to be converted to DTF-printing. After some negotation talk he offered for an alternative deal: he wants to send his hardly used P900 printer for my Epson SC-P800 printer....Sounds like a great deal and...
Fortunately the ET-8550 is an ecotank printer, so there is no risk of disabled possibility of aftermarket cartridges (chips refused) and other fun. If it would use cartridges and you are using refillables/aftermarket cartridges....watch out for firmware upgrades.
Today after printing several pages the past few days I did a reset again with the LGY aftermarket chip, to see if the magic happens again (ink level dropped about 10 %):
The light of the resetter went green again and the printer says YES again :)
An educated guess (based on the topic starter uses PC inks) is that he refills: now after some time the ink flow of the cartridges will diminish a bit. The high speed printing mode can be problem when the ink is not fed fast enough towards the nozzles giving micro banding in high speed printing...
Epson printers can take any type of ink (piezo, no heating) while Canon/HP works only reliable with ink that is designed for inks that wiill be heated (bubbljet, ink is partially evaporated). So yes: HP ink can be consumed by Epson printers.
Today after some heavy printing, I tried to reset this aftermarket LGY chip again and it went flawlessly: again 100% full after the level dropped about 15% after several sheets of ABW-print that uses alot of LGY ink.
For those interested and having a EU-version of the P900, this is the link in...
