If you look at graphical presentations of a profile in programs such as WinColor.exe or ColorThink, you can see hundreds of points on all the multiple axes. You can also see gaps and distortions in the framework.
It appears that ColorMunki only presents a few significant, colour points in its charts, which are then checked and adjusted. I suspect that it tends to assume good linearity exists unless it finds otherwise. It seems to be a very clever system judging by the excellent results we obtain.
