Would I risk nozzle clog if all ink tanks are used except one (Pigment Blank)?

I do gloss / semi-gloss prints a few times a week on my ET8550, but rarely print on plain paper or matt paper. My pigment black ink tank is pretty much still full since the day I got the printer.

Do I risk clogging the nozzle if I don't use only one of the ink tank? Should I run the nozzle check print every few weeks anyway (despite doing glossy prints regularly)?

I honestly feel really silly for asking this, but I would appreciate any insights / wisdom. Thanks!

It's not a silly question : the cleaning activity of the printer - either triggered by usage or the user or the power up sequence does not differentiate between inks during the cleaning cycle; it consumes a small fraction of all inks for this process. You are using 5 of the 6 inks so you would recognize missing nozzles latest with the next print, but not with the pigment black since you are not - or rarely - printing with it. As long as you are using the printer on a somewhat regular base I would not take additional actions for the pigment black; but there is no common opinion amongst users whether pigment ink nozzles need more cleaning than dye ink nozzles.
