Workforce printers showing new ink cartridges depleted after little use

Why according to my printers do these aftermarket cartridges deplete their ink so rapidly when I haven't even used them other than for a few test prints? I've got a WF-2630 and a WF-2760. The ones from the pic would be my second set, the first did the same thing, now two of them are useless apparently while the other two are almost completely depleted. I have another set of cartridges coming in the mail. Is it the printers or the after market inks?

Nah, it hasn't run that many cycles. I just put the cartridges in.

This 50 hour cleaning cycles thing is a total myth and started by people that think the world is still flat..

These are most likely not the XL type cartridges - the regular ones don't last very long at all.

This 50 hour cleaning cycles thing is a total myth and started by people that think the world is still flat..

The problem with information is, we must decide whether or not to believe it.
This is a quote from an apparent Canon 1000 customer (on Amazon):
“ly cleaning procedures are necessary to flush/maintain the pressure system, but this is really a pure waste! After 50 hours - not printing, the device yells millilitres of ink into the tank, at each turn on and off also (I certainly don't turn off the thing anymore and all energy saving options are disabled).”

Here’s another comment from a user about the Canon 1000 (I’m interested in possibly buying one):

I bought this printer almost 5 years ago and it was flawless for the first year. About the only thing I complained about the first year was that if I didn't use it for a week or more, it would take a long time to initialize and it uses a lot of ink that it ejected into the maintenance cartridge. The maintenance cartridge filled up before the second set of inks were used and most of it was because it had to initialize every time I turned it on.”

People write these reviews for their own reasons and they are mostly untrue, usually because the printer can't do the things they taught it could, and should be taken with a grain of salt, so let’s make it clear about waste ink..

ALL Canon inkjet printers use ink to clean when they have not been left standing unused for some time, and the more ink cartridges they contain the more waste there is, it’s uneconomical to leave a large printer unused indefinitely, if waste ink is an issue for you.. The Cows have to be feed whether you milk them or not..

Printers only use the minimum amount of ink for cleaning which results in never producing a poor print due to a clogged nozzle, that’s never mentioned in any reviews…

P.S. When a printer turns on to initialize that does not mean its wasting ink, and only misinform people think that, there’s more to prepping a printer than most realise..
