LOL it is not that I do jot want it. It is actually pretty amazing and I also plan to post some info on printing transparencies and negatives. I never buy new technology anyway - I tend to let it mature and fix all bugs. But a two year lifecucle is becoming too short for me not to nag :-D

I had the R3000, sold it since I got an old Pro 3800 up an working, since I needed somehow larger Ink depots and A2 print was a nice option for my portfolio too,
now I am waiting for a prescision core replacement for the 3800/3880 series :)

That is the story of my life, just about every time I have bought some form of technology withing a couple of weeks the makers either introduce a new higher spec model or drastically drop the price.

Welcome to the computer world. If you wait you can get a better product for the same amount of money or less. But then you will never get a computer or printer.

Like I said, I never buy new technology. It has proven wise times and again, D600 being maybe the most prominent but just look how many times people rush to buy the latest gimmick and end up in fora trying to resolve problems only to get a firmware fix 6 months to a few years later. There's a reason why critical industries use e.g. processors that are 2-3 generations old. But you can't beat marketing like that
