I'd welcome input from users who have tried a number of semi-gloss papers on the 9000.2.

I have great results with Ilford's Premium Pearl. I've shown it to friends and family and they've been dazzled by it.

Well, how about Canon's Semi-Gloss? In my experience, it's about a perfect match as you can get. Ilford Pearl's, not so much. YMMV.

There aren't very many Semi-Gloss/Pearl/Luster papers.

Gday Tony
I've only had my pro 9000 for about one month so I haven't really tried out many papers, I got a Red River sample pack & some Canon A3 Photo paper plus semi gloss & some Canon A3+ Fine art premium matte. The prints on the Canon semi gloss look terrific to me & I'm also impressed with the fine art premium. Red River is too expensive to post down to Oz so my choices are very limited.

Tony22,

Not sure what part of the world you live in, however I am in UK and use Lidl gloss paper.

It is not what you are asking about, but if you are in UK and they have it on offer don't hesitate to buy it as a general paper to use. It makes superb prints on my Pro9000 MKII and at 10 pence per sheet of A4 is a total bargain.
