OK thanx for the answers guys. Here is what Ive done... A printhead from USA Canon is over $120 which is ridiculous.
I understand the theory that compared to how much I save by refilling this a drop in the bucket. But it GALLS me to let them get away with this just because they know there are all us refillers out there not buying their ink. But what about the poor guy who doesn't refill and burns out a head or doesn't use his printer for a while and fines it plugged beyond repair. Why should he have to pay that outrageous price which is usually more than he paid for the printer??

So here is what I have done and I will keep this thread going as time progresses. I found a head on ebay from a guy that lists it as (NEW CONDITION) (It appears to be reconditioned ) for $59 plus couple bucks shipping. He has sold a couple thousand of these and has a 100% rating. A guy with a rating like this has a lot to loose it he sells a bad product. So I have some trust in this system that he will back it up. Also recently I have purchased several items from ebay which were not up to my specs and found it very easy to return them for a full refund. Ebay backs up what you buy if the seller offers no guarantee. They even provided me with a prepaid return shipping label. Three days to get it and I will report back on the quality of this item.. I got my fingers eyes and legs crossed....:fl

I'm looking forward to your report on this vendor, Pearlhouse. I need heads for several Canon printers.

It's great if you live in US I guess. The shop that sold me some stuff from Germany did not want to arrange pickup for item that was faulty and under warranty, that was plustek expensive slide scanner
their flagship product.

I wonder if buying from china is ebay better than aliexpress ?
Some ebay seller have like 30 etc heads listed as sold but how does one check feedback for them?

:rolleyes:Sorry to say my order has been screwed up royally by our great Postal Service. My printhead got within 15 miles of my house at a local post office in Cleveland, Ohio. Sat there for two days and now has been in NEW ORLEANS for two days. No fault of the seller but the USPS is notorious for screwing up deliver of items like this. So now its just sit and wait.:somad
All ebay sellers can be checked out just by cliking on their name on any ad they may have listed. You can view all their feedback comments and problems they may have had in the past..

One thing I've found useful is to go through the sellers feedback and contact a few previous buyers who bought the same product you're interested in. They almost always provide helpful replies.

Yes that's another good idea. Im just now realizing our USPS std service really sucks.. I will not allow anyone to send me anything this way from now on.. Three other times I can recall a similar thing happening. The item gets close to being delivered to my house and then wham bam they send the thing out of state and it sits there for a couple of days until somebody figures out what to do with it. Im startin to blame this on the sellers now because they are trying to make free shipping look like a an added advantage to buying there product. But Ive been told they are receiving bad feedback from there customers after this happens. He will from me once I get the printhead.. Charge a buck or two more and send it either priority mail or UPS or FedEx Three days after I ordered the print head I ordered ink from Precision in Canada. Guess what it came Sat morning...

Well I has no problems with USPS to Europe international shipping, sure they lost some items, but it happens when you choose free or cheap shipping. UPS or FedEx is nonsense the cheapest is about 50USD so if item costs less that insane and if about 50USD still insane. I choose tracked postal services over any private company unless I buy for 1000USD or something very expensive. Sure printhead for 20USD is nothing expensive.

You can contact previous buyers? How?

Sorry, my mistake. It was possible last time I did this, probably a couple of years ago, but now I see all buyers are anonymised by ebay, and there doesn't seem to be a way to contact them. Mores the pity.

That's why I like aliexpress more each day, you can see amount of sales for any item, then you can read feedback for this item. Not view feedback for everything the seller sold. This allows to understand if the item is any good.
