@msmart Thanks for the information, I am not getting that problem fortunately. What I have found is that my previous Elements was version 8 and 32 bit, version 13 and 13.1 are 64 bit. Both 32 and 64 work with Windows 7. Having un-installed 13 and 13.1 and re-installed version 8, I now have the "no colour management" facility back in operation. So it looks as though I have to stick with that! No doubt I will learn more in the future.

The Camera RAW update is also necessary for use with the Canon 7D Mk II, that seems to work, but whether it will work with Elements 8, I have yet to find out.
