i would like to ask Is there any way to gauge whether a new replacement print head will be likely to be ruined by the recipient's logic board ?
There is no way of knowing the history of another print head unless it’s from your own printer or that is was given to you from someone you trust and their history could be trusted 100 %.
There is a difference between a print head that has some burned out (Damaged) nozzles but will still print and a print head that won’t function or allow the printer to turn on because of a short circuit due to the print head overheating.
Damaged print heads can be used in any printer, as long as they will still print, they can be used to test to see if a printers logic board has been damaged, without compromising a newly purchased print head for instance.
If the logic board in a printer has been damaged then the only way of knowing that fact for sure is to installed another print head in the machine, and if it is, then that print head is now also useless..
