I was pretty sure honestly that the number was tied to the battery never heard of limited reset with counter inside the resetter!

Will do, even if I think the printhead would fail before, 100 chip refills

Here is a review of a resetter limited to 100 resets. And later same year an unlimited version was offered.

I also think the 100 resets limit of your resetter is an estimated battery life. I recommend to buy a few spare batteries and change the battery/ies at the first sign of the resetter becoming sluggish.
