Unwanted emails from forum.

Why am I receiving emails from this forum and how do I stop it?

In your profile drop down menu in the upper right corner select "Contact Details" (1) and in the Contact details menu unselect "Receive site mailings" (2). Like this:

These emails are showing new threads on this forum that I have not looked at or posted in

At the top of the email it says THIS WEEKS HIGHLIGHTS.

Makes no sense I don’t think this has happened before.

I call it a newsletter and it is a new feature of the forum. It is a selection of posts from different threads meant for circulation to all members.

It appears from PeterBJ's post that you can turn off these mailings, so no harm, no foul.

Sorry you're not finding these emails helpful, we're working hard to adjust the algorithms so they will show better results.

If you're still not interested in them, there should be an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of all the "weekly highlight" email newsletters.
