One of my Dry boxes is not big enough to fit an electric silicate unit inside it, so I place a silicate bag in on top of the reel not been used at that time, and I also have a very small hydrometer in on the bottom of the box to measure the humidity.

To dry out a used bag of silicate, I place it on the back of my CR-10 hot plate platform each time I have the printer running for a few hours or more, when I finish the print I place the now warm silicate bag inside two plastic bags for use later.. works like a Charm..

Nice!

I did something very similar, but I used window screen material (allows me to see the color changing of the silica beads and has great air-flow) and sealed off the edges with aluminum duct tape.

I didn't realize raw materials for 3D printing required "dehydration" to improve results, but it does make sense!

Just like dry mounting a print, both the print and substrate should be dried (in the press) before mounting, else bubbles (from moisture) may occur after mounting.

You da man, turbguy! :woot

Don't mind The Hat. Mrs. The Hat probably won't let him eat pizza (lactose intolerant?) and he's jealous. ;)
