Hi
Canon i560
New print-head, new tanks with inks.

I had to change print-head. Now is Red color suddenly brown. The other colors looks little bit darker. But test of nozzles (in XP) seems to be OK. In manual book I have found image of test of nozzles(how colors should be OK). Even on another paper with older test there are the same colors as on my new paper with test.

Unfortunately when I print anything else the red color goes to brown.

I have tried change manual setting of colors but red still goes to be brown :(

I have reinstaled driver.

Any idea how to fix this?

Thank you

All of them! LOL
I get the New Head part. But are the carts OEM or refillable. Are the New inks OEM or refillable. Assuming your are reading your nozzle check correctly, it has to be a settings issue.
What application are you printing out of and what EXACT settings are you using?
Do you use ICC profiles or just let the printer control color using default setting?
Can you scan or shoot a pic of the nozzle check? The Canon experts are right her to help you solve this but we ( they ) need a lot more detailed information.

Please also include a scan or photo of a print showing the wrong red colour.

When you say "red", do you mean "magenta"? The primary ink colors for your printer are Cyan/Yellow/Magenta/Black. Magenta and yellow combine to produce red (as shown below).

Interesting. Another question for the OP. Is your monitor calibrated? Can you take a snip of your printer settings and post it up?

Actually I use refill ink only(for the first time). Cartridge is original. But it can not to have affect, because test of nozzles is ok.
Black nozzle on my old print-head had been clocked. No black color went out. Only colors. I tried clean it in warm destilled watter. PH after this cleaning is dead and no color goes out any more. So I bought new one...

Setting of printing is always default. But I use 3 different PC with three different OS(WinXP+ Linux Mint+Linux Ubuntu). Everywhere same problem. I have tried, of course, some setting in manual mode to give more/less of C/M/Y/Bl (in XP/Mint/Ubuntu).

Granda35: No No, I mean Red. No Magenta. Magenta is OK when test of nozzles is made in XP. Test made in Linux is wrong(see images). But when I print out any colored litters (in XP/Liinux) or objects in any program(word pad, OpenOffice-draw/writter, no Magenta, no Red, the others colors looks a little darker(see image-colored boxes. The dark-violet color should be Magenta).

Unfortunately I can not post any screen of setting. The reason is my OSystems version are in Czech language(it is my mother tong). So I guess no one could understand :))

To Methodical: My monitors are in default setting. On the screens are red colors standard red. Only when I print of this red then it goes to be brown.

1st image:
Linux Mint/Ubuntu, old head - No black, Red is Red. All colors looks on this picture little bit darker then is in reality on the paper. It is caused probably by sensor of camera and light circumstances in my room(although I went to window with that)

2nd image:
Linux Ubuntu/Mint, new P-H, black is OK, Magenta is little bit darker than printed by old P-H, Red is Brown, the other colors looks same as on 1st image

3rd image
Win XP, new P-H, M is same as in manual book, same as on paper printed by old P-H. Whole it looks correct.

4th image
WinXP, new P-H, Many manual variety of setting in manual mode. Red is Brown.

Thanks to all

I suspect you have a faulty cyan cartridge that is leaking out and causing the contamination of the magenta colour turning it darker.
Replace the cyan cartridge with a known good one, then run a normal head clean and then try the test print again.
Here is a much better test print which will show up any or all cartridge ink flow problems !

I don't know what brand of ink and cartridges you are using, but some after market inks are a better colour match to OEM inks than others, so maybe there is nothing wrong with your printer. Here is a thread showing how to improve the colour match by tweaking the settings in the printer driver.

Looks like the inks to me. Yellow looks darker than usual. Try new OEM cartridges or some Image Specialists inks.

I wonder if OP got this resolved, had a problem like this it was bad cyan cart like "the Hat" said.
