IMHO Disabling the ink monitoring does not mean that one is using non OEM ink.
As we all know OEM ink is one of the most expensive liquids in the world, somtimes I disable ink monitor cos the OEM cartridge is not yet empty even though the chip says it is. One must be carefull when doing this especially with a canon printer because they don't like ink starvation
