The dreadful 5B00 error msg

Hi Guys:
My Pixma MG6220 (or MG6250 in the rest of the world, I presume) issues this dreadful 5B00 error msg. and freezes dead.
Pressing and holding the Power AND the Resume switches does not produce the results described above.

@reuven10, It would help to know more about the problem before making suggestions on how to solve/overcome the issues you’re having, but I’d hazard a guess that your ink absorber is full, sorry.

I don't have the service manual for the MG6250 and a Google search gave no result, but a link to the service manual for the MG6120 that looks similar is found in this post.

According to the MG6120 service manual error 5B00 is absorber full.

I always recommend for everyone to first find service manual, refillable carts with resetter or arc cartridges only then consider to buy the printer.

In the service manual you can ind also information on duty cycle, how many pages can be printed until certain parts begin to fail etc. None of this is in the marketing you read on printer maker websites
