Spongeless cartridges suck. And I didn't test 1, I tested 20. My printhead was destroyed because of their bad construction; I had to run hundreds of cleaning cycles because of their bad design. They don't provide a single advantage to your typical sponge-based cartridges. They puncture sensitive parts on your printhead. I had to send my printer for repairs (fortunately I went to summer vacation) and Canon has replaced it with a new one. Actually people from the office told me that a Canon tech guy was trying to contact me (Probably to ask what the hell had become inside my printer. I can only wonder that it was an ugly sight).

Read carefully this posting, especially Grandad's early comments. I wish I payed more attention to them...
I now have a brand new MP750 standing next to me, thanks to Canon this only seems like an old nightmare. But I'll never use spongeless cartridges again.
