Can a brand new Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 be initialized with Marked empty Canon OEM carts that would be refilled ?
In other words can they be refilled with Canon OEM harvested ink then when the 1753 error appears, hold the stop button to disable ink monitoring or would another error appear preventing me from going forward?

Or with those same Empty Canon OEM chips, can I swap out the OEM chip and put one time chips like those available from Precision colors?
Would those use once 3rd party chips allow for ink disabling?

Or would the never before used or primed Canon imageprograf Pro-1000 refuse that too.

In other words is the ONLY way to setup a brand new printer such as the 1000 is to use brand new Canon OEM carts (I just wanted to save that fresh set)

Thank you for all help and advice or directions you can point me in

The simple answer is no, the printer wont react to other non OEM chipped cartridges, I have used 3rd party chips starting out on other brand new Canon printers before and the printer was non the wiser.. Never tried on a Pro 1000..

P.S. your gilding the lily trying to use marked OEM empties on start-up..

Thank you for the answer. Actually those empties would have been filled to the top with OEM ink before I push the power on button. Was just hoping for a miracle but thank you again for the advice

Just as a follow up I was just hoping it would be recognized maybe with the 1753 era which I could then have deactivated onk monitoring but I will use the OEM carts as that's the safe way to prevail
