Hello,
I'm working on a title sequence for a film, where I want to film printed posters dissolving or disappearing in a tray of liquid...
So far nothing has worked – I have put laser and inkjet prints in trays of water/acetone/bleach and shot them in time lapse for hours – nothing happens.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated!
I definitely remember seeing posters where the ink runs off in the rain, what are they printed with ...a really old low quality inkjet?

Possibly done is post processing.
Modern tools make it quite simple.
I am pretty sure it would be straight forward in Adobe Premiere if you had a shot of the completed poster, and another shot of the blank poster and t he transition could be made up in using the digital tools in post.

Oh, by the way, I am not an expert on digital - just an idea for your consideration.

you can use A3 large format printer , print with dye ink (water soluble)and use strong concentrated bleach (the printed document will disappear in a second). i used this technique before several years for my daughter project in the high school , I sprayed concentrated bleach from 5m height , with each drop of bleach one or more letters disappeared immediately . she got full mark.
good luck

@akramjef, You could also try printing your poster in draft mode on photo paper, but print on the back of the sheet on the non-glossy side, then put in water...
