Or ARC carts that do read ink levels which I now understand most do not. Which I found out the hard way thru Ink Owl in spite of what their tech told me..
The specific carts I'm looking for are refillable PGI-5(BK) and CLI-8(C,M,Y,BK).
I did find these;
https://www.discountinkllc.com/prod...anon-pgi-5-cli-8-ip4200-ip3300-with-arc-chips
https://www.ebay.com/itm/192305827574
Both had this in the description; "New RCA Chip, show ink level." Not sure about the "RCA" part thou.
In another thread, 'The Hat' recommended buying original Canon carts. In the past 18 or so years I have never bought a OEM cart and after looking at the prices I see way. Somewhere around $70 for a set of five about 4x the cost.
Other than the actual ink, I'm sure they are probably better sponges, bu the cost? I need two sets (one to use, the other as the spare to change out faster).
Are all these carts using ARC chips now??
