New print head costs: 60 - or something like that
(Anyone know where I can get a cheaper one??)
I've always gotten my best price at the local authorized Canon repair center.

that's a good idea
i must give them a ring to get a price
i would imagine that any stocks they have are just sitting on the shelves since there is little demand for them
thanks for the tip

In the UK that would be Electroversal and I suspect they may push you on to CRC-Tasktron anyway but it is definitely worth a try.

As an aside, didn't I read that Canon in the USA have stopped selling parts direct to the public now? Can anyone update/confirm?

something else i wanted advice on...

ok... i think i'm going to be brave and will purchase a new ink head
(i called Electroversal - they said they have the printer heads in stock - but they are supplied with NO warranty!)

but what should I do about the inks?
I have a set of refillable cartridges
should i use these?
or should i invest in a new set of inks and refill those thereafter?

thanks

Bite the bullet and get a set of OEMs or two sets if you do a lot of printing.
Then refill them when they become empty with good inks from octoink.co.uk and you will have the perfect setup for the future.. :)

or buying the lexmarm 901 that i sent a post about in another email
