I found several links such as this one to a ebook site that requires registration but claims the downloads are free.

This post has links to the service manual for Canon MP280. Note that the manual is only a supplement, you will also need a base manual. Sadly the server ftp racs.co.bw that hosts the base manual only works sporadically.

I think that the Ip4900 series and the iP4800 series are so similar that the same service manual can be used for both printers.
