Anyone any experience of filling carts with this ink. I know that Rihac try to promote CISS systems but wondered how the ink compared to Canon's (without profiling)

I have found that without profiling Hobbicolors ink is brighter than Canon ink but a little too red and Image Specialists is slightly paler but nearer to Canon ink. Obviously with profiling both inks can be brought near to Canon

How does Rihac compare?

City Ink Express are now selling Rihac ink under the Fotorite brand on Ebay.co.uk for less than the prices on their site or the Rihac UK site.

However, Octoinkjet still seems the cheapest in the UK

Hobbicolors is remarkable value if you live in the USA

Are you sure about this info?

Have you tried OCP inks? They can be bought in the UK via http://www.promaximaging.co.uk/ contact them via email or phone for a quote (they are actually cheaper). I have just received my inks for Epson P50 but have not tried the inks yet. A set of six 100ml/bottle claria compatibles cost 14.73 including delivery to mainland UK

I also find the Image specialist inks are a bit pale on my epson P50 without custom profile. I will try the OCP inks once my IS inks are finished.

I found this on Rihac's website:

Can I use your inks for refilling genuine cartridges?
Generally speaking our refill inks are used to refill our CISS (Continuous Ink Supply Systems), however the inks are equally suitable for those refilling OEM cartridges. However please note we do not provide the instructions, syringes and tools which are necessary for refilling OEM cartridges. Refilling cartridges can lead to print head damage. This is because the OEM cartridges contain a sponge which tends to break down due to the wet-dry-wet-dry process of refilling. Microscopic pieces of the sponge then travel deep into the print head causes overheating and/or irreparable blockages. Also as the cartridges have a chip which cannot be reset the user never knows when the cartridge is empty until it stops printing. Again this causes irreparable damage to the thermal heads.

Also, the ink they provide for the pigment black cartridge is identical to the ink for the dye black, in other words, they don't have a pigment black ink.

So as you say, they are targeting their CISS products.

I wonder if you put a good quality black ink in their CISS unit it will work or not. I am surprised that they don't provide a black pigment ink.

The problem is that Promaximaging has not a website where one can easily buy what they want. You must send an e-mail and then wait to make you a takeover.

Payment options are not favorable at all to me, since I live outside the UK.

OCP is surely among the best but his distribution is lamentable.

Fotorite and RIHAC receive the DYE ink from the same dealer. Fotorite sells those products at the best price RIHAC, but rarely do not have black pigment ink. Very rare.

I will soon prove InkTec ink.

The plain and simple answer to your question is no. :(
Their CISS on a Canon + pigment ink wont work out unless you have the patience of a Saint and a pair of rubber gloves..

Red John, I believe in a past post I informed you that OCP ink is available in the US from Rjettek.com. My purchases over the last 3 yrs has been hassle free.

Rjettek.com not send outside the U.S.A. OCP distributor in my country only serves bottles a liter and that does not meet my expectations.

E-mailed promaximaging on 3 separate occasions but not received a reply.

Shocking customer service
