One of the best ways I found when purchasing anything from any Chinese
manufacturer or supplier is to use or go through the Alibaba.com.

All of your money is refunded with no quibble thats their guarantee if something is not quite right.

If youre at all worried about being ripped off then this is the way to go,
I have used them a number of times and can recommend them as 1000% safe,
if you fail to receive the goods you dont pay anything.

Because after you receive your goods and are completely satisfied with them
is the actual payment made to the supplier, through Alibaba.

EBay Wow, now that a different matter all together..

The cheapest EU store not listed in any price sites is:

http://www.printnord.de (they do not have every printhead like tasktron :( )

It's double the price but at least it's new.

I has a look at some service manuals and it's amazing that canon state the printhead used in pixma 8500 as 500 A4 photos, in 6700D 1500 A4 photos, in Pro 9000 about 4000 A4 photos.

AFAIK the heads in Pro 9000 and 8500 are the same QY6-0076 so why different page yields then?

As shipped, the i8500/i9900/i9950 used a QY6-0055, but the -0076 appears to be form/fit/function compatible with the -0055.

Perhaps the -0076 has been redesigned to be more robust than the -0055?

Its funny that you should mention the QY6-0055 print head,
because I am looking straight at the genuine Canon box that
my Pro 1 print head came in and it has exactly the same part number on it. !

Several months ago, I bought 5 refurbished print heads for my IP4000 and MP780 printers from a Chinese vendor over eBay...
The 5 printheads you mentioned is used printhead and not refurbished...
You are correct. I only meant they were not new but they also were not refurbished. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for clarifying.

On two occasions I have had full refunds from PayPal for faulty items ordered from Ebay.

I am faced with a buyer who clicked to purchase an item worth $90 , and did this 5 times, A first time buyer.
Just a tip Mike... There's a setting in eBay that allows you to block someone from purchasing more than X units without completing payment.

eBay Account
> Selling Preferences
> Block Buyers Who (Buyers Requirements)
>> Buyers who may bid on several of my items and not pay for them

Tick the box for: "Block buyers who are currently winning or have bought X of my items in the last 10 days" and set X.

Obviously bear in mind that it'll potentially block legit buyers who want to buy multiple items so the follow up option of "Only apply this block to buyers who have a Feedback score of Y or lower." may be useful

It's resolved a lot of problems with the same behaviour for me so figure it might help.

I did not get a 50eur partial refund from ebay, the seller said he made it, ebay shows this. However paypal has no such transaction.
I contacted paypal by skype and was forwarded to ebay. (ebay does not have free phone number). So I was transferred between reps for 40 min. nobody cared to resolve my refund problem. In the end I was transferred to an answering machine to leave my message.

I did not leave any message as I could not believe this. I got a survey from ebay few days later asking for "how our support quality was", I told them it was very very bad, I included the order details that I did not get refund for in my reply. Haven't heard from them since.

This was on 2013 01 01.
