Hi all CP Users over here.
I still have 3 sets of printheads and cleaningheads, unclogged and in their carrying plastic boxes, plus think another set or two in their cardboard boxes. If someone wants them on the cheap just PM me. They're taking space and may have to throw them away soon, which would be sad.

Thank you, alx359. I now have more printheads to play with, including UV aka pigmented heads.

I'll be posting my progress here.

I know this is an old thread but...

...We have recently resurrected an old and broken 3000CP. We got everything working except the automatic refilling system. The refill assembly is approximately 5mm out of alignment (it's too high, left to right is fine). We have no idea how we can adjust the height of the refill nozzles and make them line up correctly. We know there is a height adjustment tool but how is that supposed to work? The instructions that go with that tool and could shed some light on this are impossible to find on the net.

Any of you guys have any idea on how to fix this? Sure hope so :fl

I've had job and life stuff going on, so I've not done any more on my printer. I am hoping someone weighs in on this. These are great printers.

Wow, you are not kidding, it is hard to find that information. I found someone selling or renting the calibration kit, but can't find the instructions online. The service manual only mentions that an instruction flyer is included in the refill station calibration kit.

Can you take some closeup pictures of the items in the kit? It might help me figure out how they are supposed to work.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your reply!

Never mind the adjustment tool. We found the problem! The spring loaded rear bushing was missing a nut...
We replaced it and that fixed the height issue! Ran a refill cycle and all was well :)

The missing nut:

Added tubing for refilling:

Only thing left to do now is to clean this behemoth and we're good to go ;)

And just for fun a couple of images of a project completed:
That’s one big mighty Bas.... :hugs

Just looking at the extra tubing, I reckon that same principal would work to bypass the black switching problem that all 3880 Epson printers suffer from..
