I don't have many problems with drilling the hole above the ink chamber! I have some cartridges that are still going strong after 18 months and over 150 refills. I use plastic gloves, cover the exit hole (grip it top and bottom with gloved hand) and with other hand prise plug off. Refill with syringe fitted on bottle, replace plug, wipe exit hole on kitchen roll or tissue. Job done. Surely entering the exit hole with a needle every time wears the sponge and can only be done so many times?
